I've been through multiple bank mergers and buyouts with a few different banks, and they never made me change my account numbers. new debit cards yeah, but kept the same account number. my mother uses cadence now Huntingdon and has been dealing with this headache. also, they said on the letter that you had 60 or 90 days before you had to change everything to the new numbers but went back on that and did it the next week

Cadence was in a lawsuit in 2023 for a date breach which affected over 900,000 customers. I would say there is a reason we had to get new number for everything. It’s really not that big of a deal though.

Try having business and personal accounts with them. The new company has a different approach to business and personal. The accounts no longer talk to each other! It’s been an absolute nightmare.

I kept my account with Huntington and have had absolutely NO issue. My account number didn’t change. Debit card…yes. Huntington did an amazing job and LOTS of snail mail giving you information and suggestions on what to do to months before this change to avoid these issues. I got my new debit card weeks before it could even be activated. I added the new card number to accounts I use my debit card for. I’m sure there are issues, like it would be for any business who make changes, but take responsibility for not preparing for this change…they gave you PLENTY of time to get your business in order. Remember, your account number did NOT change.

All this kinda pisses me off too, I opened my account when it was Bank of Mississippi in 1985, then it went to Bancorp South then Cadence and NEVER had to change anything until now. Its ridiculous.
