@alexandthegutdrama: since this morning the bleeding has gotten much much worse... now filling the toilet with it, this is going to be a rough couple months... anybody been admitted and not been able to have steroids? what's the procedure? any info helps #IBD #UlcerativeColitis #ChronicIllness #InvisibleIllness #Crohns
Very sorry your going through this. Definitely reach out and inform your surgeon/doctor regarding your condition. Go to the hospital, inform hospital staff to see what options are available besides steroids. Do your best to protect yourself from germs while out there as getting sick could push back your surgery.

I have Ulcerative Colitis and i found a coffee a few years ago that helped stop the bleeding it's worth a try. It's the nescafe with the red top and I have it with skimmed milk. None of the medications work for me and actually make me feel worse but the coffee stops the bleeding when I drink it 🤔. I hope this helps you and anyone else that's suffering.

I don’t understand why they would let you get so bad before a surgery. Surly that would possibly bring on an emergency situation? Myself and my brother were on them before stoma surgery. I would get a second opinion because you can’t be left with worsening inflammation for a month

The heat wave (40degrees in France) is the worst that could happen for me with Crohn. I don’t know if the heat makes you worse. I hope you’ll get better soon 🙏🙏

If you go to hospital they will probably still give you IV steroids anyway if it helps, they won’t let you get critically ill. If it gets so bad they might give you an earlier surgery.

I was on 20mg as a maintenance dose up till the day of my surgery so they will likely treat you with steroids

They had me on steroids up until my surgery (which was emergency) they will give you them if needed but they may do what they did with me and do your surgery in two parts. The steroids slow down healing so I only had the ileostomy so far. Waiting to have the next part of surgery. Good luck, definitely go back to hospital. I kept pushing it off and had a bowel perforation. Good luck 🤞 x

I’m trying to understand - does it literally come out of your bum for a little while like a nosebleed?
