@metroentertainment: Aquamarine is making a comeback! 🐚 Disney+ and Disney Channel have officially confirmed a pilot for a TV series based on the beloved 2006 cult classic, with Emma Roberts returning as Claire in a guest role nearly 20 years after the original film. She's also joining the project as an executive producer, while original director Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum is back behind the camera. Rather than retelling the original story, the series will follow a new teenager named Coral, who discovers her missing mother was a mermaid and begins developing magical powers of her own.
