This is a hard one. I healed my mother wound by getting to know my mother, understanding my mother and forgiving my mother. I put myself in her shoes and realized that I may have been worse than her had I had a life of little resources, knowledge and support like she did. It is also a blessing to have a mother willing to do the necessary work with you for a better, beautiful relationship.

how ironic this was me and my mother's favorite movie when I was little . im 30 now . she doesn't speak to her mother and I don't speak to her . I've decided not to have children to not pass this pain on . but how ironic the best parts of my childhood is me and my mother watching this movie . 😭

I actually found it easy in a way to be a mom because I just did the opposite of what I experienced. I went into it from day one thinking “I want to love you in a way I never felt loved or cherished” I can see it in my kids how secure they are with their relationship with me. They know I will always be there. But sometimes I cry knowing I’ve never felt that or felt like I have someone to go to. I watch my daughter with her daddy and sometimes I’m envious but I’m so so happy for her I’ve never seen a little girl be so close to her dad but he had to do A LOT of internal work due to him never having a dad. Life is hard, you have to do your best when you bring more humans into it to not fuck them up. .
