@little_miss_westcoast: Not even sure what “normal” is supposed to look like anymore.🤔 My son doesn’t look chronically ill. Most days, he doesn’t look sick at all. That’s the thing about so many autoimmune diseases and chronic illnesses. Pain isn’t always visible. Exhaustion isn’t always visible. The constant calculations, the fear, the injections, the alarms, the mental load… none of it is visible. So before telling someone they “look normal,” remember that not every battle is happening where you can see it. Some of the hardest fights happen quietly, behind closed doors, in silence. Be kind.
