former night shift retailer here who has worked frozen, dairy, and grocery. when it comes to bags like those it is damn near impossible to keep them straight because of how packed the shelves are

box cutter was always WAY too slow for me, for almost all boxes. as you pick up box off the pallet, immediately press in on the side of the box near the top flap to create a small gap in the tape. then finger under and up and across the top. all while turning or walking to the stocking location, checking tag etc. eyes on the shelf, not on the box. box fully open and already stocking while the other guy still putting his box cutter away.

I like pushing in wear the tape is at and breaking it down from there I feel like it’s way quicker than pulling out the cutter
