i was induced and on pitocin, and had a beautiful fast birth with no pain. if youre an expecting mama and lease dont listen to all of the negative scary birth stories! you were made to do this, trust your body! ❤️

been here for over 14 hours on cytotec & not dialated yet, and just NOW tried the cervidil on me. if this don't work they will try Pitocin but damn i'm frustrated.

I’m a FTM but I also am a farmer that raises livestock- it’s interesting to hear about Pitocin because we use Oxytocin to help out birthing animals if they start to get exhausted during labor. Although, it’s typically just a single injection given and not a drip

mine was NOT STARTED LOW. they were pumping me full with a high dosage the moment i was put on it. I tried to tough it out but my contractions were not ending.

Pitocin is one of the worst medications. Was on it with both my births & will be telling them NO for my last birth. The worst pain I’ve experienced because of Pitocin.

I’m getting induced and was told it would most likely be used for me and wouldn’t be able to be shut off if I wanted it too be if it got too bad so I’m a bit nervous bc I wanted to avoid pitocin during labor but was ok for after birth to just get it all out

& I will refuse it. Ridiculous how the medical field is wanting to speed up labor. Whenever our bodies are made for this.. maybe let it naturally happen. Instead of speeding it up. But again the medical field is all about $. Gotta get you in and out of the hospital.

In my first delivery, I gave birth via C-section, and now I want to get pregnant with my second child and have a natural birth. Is using Pitocin to induce labor safe or dangerous? I heard, and even my doctor said, that artificial labor induction is dangerous for me.

Low and slow wasn’t told to my team. I was given a 24 hour dose in 8 hours with my first (38 week induction) and it was HORRID. I had so many side effects. Never again.
