Dats nawt exactly how it werks. Kiana from the get go was always supposed to be the original as we can see in ggz.(At least I think so I haven't finished reborn yet) This K423 thingy is purely unique to honkai impact.

While Kiana is a clone is HI3 she hoyoverse wise is the original. You can think of it moreso like the real Kiana manifested inside the clone rather than the original body in hi3. Either way that's a damn good question

Kiana is the identity, it is unclear wether Durandal still counts as a Kiana, but clones/duplicates are still variants such as Light and Dark Seele both being Seele variants, but a HSR Kiana would still be a variant of the clone Kiana since clones are also variants

I think if we get Kiana in hsr it'll be HER and not a variant and in relation to Finality kind of like in Honkai Nexus Anima where she's there and still in her Finality form
