In most christian traditions the main virtue is submission. To God, to the church , to the state, to any authority that is supposed to speak for God. Yet we see many people inspired by Christian teachings to violently rebel against oppression. From the revolution of Nika and the Zealots of Thessaloniki in the eastern Roman empire, to communist catholic priests in the Basque territory of Spain and Latin America. I find that fascinating.

It's not just Eve and the serpent. It's that when the cult of Yahweh took over the original Israelite pantheon, they destroyed the goddesses that protected women, so of course the entire religion slipped into misogyny. Gnostic Christians tried to remove Yahweh out of the religion, but were unfortunately wiped out by the Roman supposed factions.
