Well, basically, he’s in a medieval world where many things we consider wrong are viewed as completely normal. On top of that, people there can't read Rudeus's mind to know his true identity, so they just see him as a weird kid. Given that context, expecting society over there to judge or hold him accountable for his behavior is entirely unrealistic. Besides, we have to remember that he was deeply traumatized and spent decades as a reclusive hikikomori. Naturally, his psyche was broken, which led to his degenerate habits. Sure, no one can justify his actions, but at least the series shows that even the worst kind of person can change in the end. He never becomes perfect and still makes plenty of mistakes—anyone have tha right to criticize him for that. But by the end of the story, he is no longer the same Rudeus who would harm a child or remain indifferent to his family

0 arguments insight, and saying Tensura is better is the best ragebait I've ever seen. Tappei (Re: 0 author) and Rifujin (MT author) are close friends, and they love eachothers work. For every Re: 0 fans that are hating on MT, remember, the one writting your favorite story love the story you hate the most. So it's part of his tastes, and when he writes re zero, his tastes influence his writing. You don't have to like MT, but you can't reduce it to "diddy tensei".
