x10 on the selectively bred part. I have Maine Coons and hand-picked each after seeing parents, reviewing bloodlines, temperament, health etc. I rather enjoy knowing what I'm investing in. Not knocking adoption and kudos to those who do it, but I get tired of people making themselves feel like they are better than me because I went a different route. Beautiful kitty by the way!

What people don’t understand is you can do BOTH. We have rescued for years and currently have rescue cats along with our ragdolls.

I always tell people, rescues are amazing! we have two special needs in our home. but until you own a well bred cat with a select temperament, you cannot understand the difference. however amazing your rescue is, there is a purebred that has that temperament and better health attached. First coon I ever got, before owning the cattery, I was Mind blown by the difference. they are different strokes for different folks for sure. but both are completely valid. no judgements as long as they are from an ethical breeder🥰
