@claudeandkv: One thing I’ll always be grateful my parents taught me was to pray for my future husband long before I ever knew his name. Every morning on the way to school, we had the same routine. We’d say our children’s creed, pray the Lord’s Prayer, recite Psalm 23, and then we’d each pray. Part of that prayer was always covering our future spouses. At the time, I had no idea who he was or where he was. I was simply learning to trust God with a future I couldn’t see. Years later, I met my husband at 19 and married him at 22. I’m not saying prayer is a formula that guarantees a timeline. But I am saying that I have seen the faithfulness of God, and I believe there is power in praying for the person you may one day spend your life with. Here are 15 things I believe every woman can pray over her future husband: 1. That he would know God personally and love Him above everything else. 2. That God would protect his mind, heart, and purity. 3. That he would grow in wisdom, humility, and integrity. 4. That he would become the man God created him to be, even before marriage. 5. That God would surround him with godly friendships and mentors. 6. That he would have discernment to make wise decisions. 7. That God would protect him from relationships that pull him away from His purpose. 8. That he would be emotionally healthy and willing to heal from past wounds. 9. That he would develop the character to lead with love, patience, and gentleness. 10. That God would bless the work of his hands and guide his career. 11. That he would remain faithful, even when no one is watching. 12. That God would prepare both of you separately before bringing you together. 13. That your future marriage would reflect Christ and glorify God. 14. That God would give both of you peace as you wait for His timing. 15. That His will would be done, even if it looks different than your own plans. If you’re single, don’t waste this season. Use it to become the woman you’re praying he’ll become as a man.
