I use bone meal and Coop Gro to condition the soil and then use Alaskan Fish Fertilizer or Bloom Booster. Not a great idea to fertilize during a heat wave ...can anyone confirm that? Also... it's cooler today did something... change?

your average bag of big box store soil has enough nutrients for one or two growing seasons. Your 3rd year onward is when you either need to refresh the container with fresh soil or add fertilizer

yes, because watering it washes all the nutritions right after drainage holes I fertilize my peppers and tomatoes in containers weekly
