i mean yeah, i dont wanna discount the issues saul was going through, but the whole point was the circumstances he was in were never all that horrific, at least nothing some therapy or a career shift couldn't fix. he was NEVER at a point of absolute no return to a normal life—he just continued making decisions against that because he was obsessed with proving himself...to himself.
