I do professional mermaiding, and I was lucky enough to do a Make-A-Wish for a little girl who was about to go through treatment. Her wish was to swim with a mermaid. I cried in the pool after her and her family left. So I TOTALLY understand what Pete is saying here!! I thought about it everyday after. Also, update, that girl has since rang the bell. Her family messaged me when she went into remission and it absolutely made my whole week. :)
