I thought the movie was pretty solid, I think it just needed more time or could have been a show, but that’s coming from someone who hasn’t read the book, only listened to the song for years

Dude. Girls like girls was so disappointing they needed more time and a bigger budget bc Sonya had no character arc. I’m wlw myself and I was so excited. I think it would’ve been better, the ending if there were a redemption arc but there wasn’t and it just ended (I watched the post credits scene too) I hope they make a second movie. There was sm left out that was in the book

I liked Girls Like Girls, it’s not one of the best WLW movies I’ve ever seen, but compared to Heated Rivalry, it definitely comes out on top. As someone who’s part of the community, I’ve noticed there are plenty of MLM productions with weak scripts and low production quality, yet hardly anyone complains; it’s enough just to have two men kissing or whatever. Heated Rivalry isn’t exactly great either, but I understand why some people enjoy it. it doesn’t bother me either way.
