Legally theirs at 16 - they can’t withdraw until 18.

Kids child benefit was invested, both have very healthy house deposits at 22 & 27. Both now just waiting to settle down at right time and place. Life is a lot easier when you plan it.

I did this 9 months ago after seeing your video for my boy, he gets £75 a month and it’s up 10% on the year . He’s seeing it grow actively and passively and he’s really engaged now as he understand this is for the future . I wish my parents has done something like this me , I have zero pots to piss in, but I will not pass that on - thank you for the video 10 months ago

I've a HL putting in £25 per month, I can only invest £100 at a time so I have to wait till my cash in the isa reaches £100 which is frustrating any way around it?

I've just toy'd with opening one for my 2 kids but I've decided I'm just sticking all their money into vanguard s&p500 and all world, I don't like the idea one not being in control of their money when it's in a junior isa

Hi Neil. How do you put £25 a month into either fund? I put the same amount into my HL account but when I go to buy on either fund it says it’s a minimum of £100. Would appreciate some advice. Thanks

I was going to open one of these however the big issue is that once your child is 18 that money is theirs to do whatever they want with. So you’re now saving for their house deposit (exactly where my mind was) but they might go and blow it all on a car or holidays etc.

It really annoys me that I can’t invest less than £100 in one go on HL - I have S&S ISAs for both my 1yr old and 4yr old with them and that’s my number 1 irritation, probably because I’m used to T212 for myself where I don’t have that issue
