Yes. I think they are possibly showing also that they misunderstood who you are. A phenomenon that also becomes apparent if they make certain assumptions when selecting a gift for you.

I’m a plus size black girl and many people don’t believe that high ranking military men are very much into me (then I have to describe the situation). Not just military men, but many people in leadership have been into me and I think they see me and see my body shape and my personality and they rank me low, but my face card is very cashable (so I have been told) and I don’t bow to anyone.
