Lots of variance on prices and that’s due to a lot of variance on what your receiving and what car you have.. example an oil change on a Ford Fiesta might be £100, you do a full service, oil, air, cabin fuel, spark etc (timing belt also a maintence item) on a Lamborghini then it’s going to cost a lot of money… technically still a service. People forget when they buy a luxury car the running costs of said car… people will buy a £10,000 Land Rover forgetting that it was £100,000 brand new and has the running costs of a £100,000 car except now it’s also old and costs even more to maintain. Champagne lifestyle lemonade budget… as a mechanic I drive around in a car than cost £1,200 because it’s cheap to run. Would rather have money in the bank 😂

Interim service is only really if you do a lot of miles

Do you have a mechanically minded mate that can do it for you? The parts for a service are less than £100. It’s the labour that’s expensive

I'm a manager of an independent family run MOT & repair centre. On average a full service is around £250/280. Spark Plugs can bump it up by £100 ish and sometimes fuel filters in difficult locations can bump the cost up too. 😁

These prices are crazy, my fiance owns his own garage and he charges parts plus an hour or two labour depending on if it’s a full service or interim. Please check out the small garages in your area, we are usually better on price and you get a complete different experience than a big garage

Girl speak to your local VW dealer and set up a service plan. Monthly payments of around £25/30 and for 3/4/5 years and everything is covered

Services are around £300 but they vary depend on what needs doing. If you invest in a nice car then it's worth getting a full service and getting best use out of the car

I do it myself 😁 £10 oil filter, £60-80 on oil I need 6.9L for my engine, engine flush £5-10 and an oil catcher. Easy peasy on really old cars at least.

It depends on what I have done. I travel around 20,000 miles a year so my car is serviced 6 monthly. A basic interim service costs me around £150 and a full service around £300. Done with OEM parts that the garage order direct from the manufacturer for me
