I feel the same way as ur daughter, I only like wall to wall carpet! I don't like my feet touching a hard, cold, loud surface either. carpet is soft, warm n very quiet! However, it is YOUR house n YOUR money so ur daughter needs to understand that! ( have her come live at MY house!)

I'm not going to agree with her, but I agree with her lol. Tiles belong in common areas kitchen, hallways, entrances, bathrooms, that's it. Maybe use wood laminate for bedrooms.
