@blackvinylstories: 3 Things I’ve learned since owning my new record player . 1. Isolate your speakers 2. Clean everything before you play it 3. Balance your counterweight . I picked my beginner-friendly turntable, the MMF 1.3, up from Music Hall . Go check them out if you are just starting your journey into vinyl records . #vinylcommunity #recordplayer #vinylbeginner #recordplayertips #vinyllover
I’m looking for a simple record player around $100 to start my collection any recommendations? Appreciate it! 🎵

Vinyl is a full on experience. Tactile. The album. Reading it. Putting it carefully on the record player. The crackles. Listening as the artist intended.

I love playing my records. But, sometimes I don’t want to go through all the prepping my records to play. So I’ll play a CD. Simple to play and they sound great and are much cheaper. But, a good CD player will cost 💲 you as much as some record players.

Also you have to train your brain to ignore all the pops and scratches from the dust on the vinyl. Better to get a C.D. Player if you want true high fidelity.

So cool you are getting into vinyl! It's such a great way to experience music. I agree with running a dry brush round the vinyl before you play it but I'd be cautious of wet cleaning or spraying because if you play before letting the record dry, that residue will start to collect on your stylus and be hard to clean off.
