I had a consult with an artist and it was super in depth she told me she would send me mock ups before the appt. That never happened but it’s a floral peace and figured it was fine. Anyways I get to the appt and even tho we had had a consult and she said she would draw it up prior to the appt. She proceeded to draw it up for the first time when I got there and re ask me all the questions about it. I was there for two hours before she even began to call me back for the tattoo. I asked her what the point of the consult was and she kinda blew me off. It was one of my firsts and I found the whole process really annoying and I didn’t go back. It’s a fine tattoo but it was really annoying. I had a friend go to the same shop and they did the SAME thing to him (different artist) but they made him sit in the lobby for four hours before calling him back. No joke but he already paid a hefty deposit so he just sat on his phone. Why have consults if you then make your client wait in the lobby while you draw up.
