So many people comment that Indian brands are ripping off western designers when itโs technically the other way round. Western designers have been taking credit for Indian craftsmanship since forever. Indian ateliers and karigars produce for Dior, Gucci, Prada, Valentino, etc.. India is both the source and the producer. Western designers might tweak a hemline for a western consumer but India is the creative source. Good for brands like Liyokki for selling directly to consumers instead of being reduced to a hidden part of the supply chain for major western brands.
