you're experiencing what's called a barrier to entry and it's a huge issue in modern games. why? because every single game you mentioned expects you to have played multiple other games before and thats true of pretty much any game made right now. any gamer can tell you which button is the jump button regardless of the controller but someone who's never played a game before isn't going to know. it's an interesting problem in gaming imo.

Video game literacy is a learned skill. The games you’re getting frustrated with are either 1) difficult enough that you weren’t at that level yet, or 2) simply not your jam! You might come back to Bauldr’s Gate 3 or something and LOVE it years later. Or, you might become a skilled gamer that NEVER likes Bauldr’s Hate 3 or something. Be easy on yourself

OK so you are NOT stupid for struggling with BG3. It's built off of Dungeons and Dragons rules and combat mechanics and if you don't know those rules it is NOT INTUITIVE AT ALL. And the challenge is even higher if you picked a magic user. Is it a good game? Absolutely but it is not new player friendly.

I highly recommend It Takes Two if you haven’t tried it yet! It’s a co-op game and my non-gamer best friend loved it so much that she spent a weekend at my place just so we could beat the game.

Try a game “Stray” it’s about apocalyptic world that is run by robots and you are a cat who got lost from your pack and you need to return home, the robots aren’t bad btw, you can talk with them or even make them slip down 😃

Cannot recommend skyrim enough honestly. Theres a reason is a classic and its INCREDIBLY accessible, and i think its a great game to get a feel for what most modern games are expecting you to already know
