@gabriellarenees: He’s tattooed for decades, but almost nobody knows his story. I remember watching my Dad leave every morning at 4am just to make sure he could take care of me. (Which he still does do today for his family!) So many odd jobs & not ever one complaint or moment he made me feel like a burden… but I know he’s getting tired. His job is physically demanding & watching him get older has been hard. The one thing I know he’s always loved and been consistent with is Tattooing. It was always little me and him in the garage as he blared his music, let me go through all his drawings or tattoo stencils or let me paint on the floor. I remember hearing the buzzing noise of the needle machine as it hit people’s skin and how focused he always was. But, I know there’s people we haven’t reached and I know this California culture is big! I hope he becomes one of your favorite people and your trusted tattoo artist.
