I lived in a town in Colorado with 400 residents. We got a gas station and the town put on a carnival to celebrate. It was better than whatever this is.

What makes this even sadder is that it's a good idea in theory and had it been executed correctly it could have been a great event to celebrate 250 but it's also perfectly emblematic of the state of the country
