@leannetenbrinke: The Peter Principle suggests that people get promoted to their level of incompetence … which is not great. But maybe the situation is even worse than that!
When I am told something about myself .. I am honest with my leadership. I want my organization to be successful. So if im advised you are so smart or knowledgeable in this area, I will thank them for the compliment, but I feel the need to make them aware of the areas I need to improve on, and ask them how I can achieve that or get better.
