“normalize communication” but how do you expect me to communicate efficiently when i’m upset ? we need to normalize communicating AFTER calming down. im tired of people wanting to talk things out right away, like let me breathe! YOU made ME upset, so we can talk when IM ready.

this is immature, but I understand what you are wanting to do, so saying something like "I need space, you've hurt me and I need time to think about how I should react " would actually be the healthy and right way to go, ignoring your s/o or friend may cause more drama or irritate them causing them to fail to see why you are ignoring them, normalize communication, I hope this helps in the most geniune way

No but we can normalize communicating that you would rather not talk in the moment. Ignoring people is just immature

the silent treatment is a very toxic and manipulative way to "punish" someone. I know you probably dont mean it like that it doesnt seem like you do and im sure you're a good person but if its a loved one, it would be a great idea to let them know "I need a minute, im upset" and then ignore them after that, so that way they know you just need a bit. communication is a big deal and this is coming from someone who has gone through my friends giving me the silent treatment out of nowhere and not tell me theyre upset or that I did something wrong. walking away and expressing that you need a bit of time is ok, but please refrain from using toxic methods. as I said though, im sure you're a good person and you're not entirely wrong in taking space.

communication means nothing without comprehension, if someone can’t comprehend that an upset person needs time and space then communication isn’t gonna fix that

I understand you need to have communication but sometimes I wish THEY could just be mature enough to apologize first, especially when they were the reason I’m upset. I hate having to “be the bigger person” all the time

Ok but still even if you need to calm down and take time, don’t completely act like we’re not friends. Like I get we got into an argument / disagreement but after we can talk it out and resolve the conflict instead of trying to ignore and pretend like we were never friends…

no, we shouldn't ignore but work things out, set boundaries and talk what made them do that and what made you upset. ignoring people isnt a good habit because you're mad. you can take a break to calm down, but please dont ignore them

Fight Club (1999) is a psychological drama directed by David Fincher and based on the novel by Chuck Palahniuk. The film follows an unnamed office worker who suffers from chronic insomnia and feels trapped in a monotonous, consumer-driven lifestyle. His life changes after meeting the charismatic and unpredictable Tyler Durden, a soap salesman with a radical philosophy about freedom and self-destruction. Together, they establish an underground fight club where men gather to release their frustrations through bare-knuckle fights. What begins as a secret escape from everyday life soon evolves into a powerful and dangerous movement that challenges society's values. As the narrator becomes increasingly involved, the line between reality and illusion begins to blur, leading to one of the most shocking twists in cinema history. With its dark atmosphere, unforgettable performances, and thought-provoking themes of identity, consumerism, and rebellion, Fight Club has become one of the most influential and iconic films ever made.
