@thesharkdaymond: If you don’t know when to stop talking, you’ve already lost the deal. I’ve sat through 2.5 hour long pitches, and all I think during them is when they’re going to get TO THE POINT. You don’t sound smarter just because you have more to say, you sound stronger when you know how to say less. Keep your pitch tight so people can actually pay attention. No one’s remembering every word from a 2.5 hour pitch anyway. But when you simplify your point and cut out the unnecessary details, that’s what closes deals. Strong communicators don’t need extra fluff to prove a point. Confidence sounds like clarity and authority sounds like simplicity. Simplify your message and cut what doesn’t matter..
