I was purchasing manager at the Pillsbury/ Old El Paso plant in Anthony, TX. Those canned shelf stable tortillas went in care packages to soldiers. We produced Old El Paso, Las Palmas, Progresso and Haines Hollywood products. Taco shells, tortillas, chips, salsa, green chile, jalapenos, beans, soup and carrot juice. Canning Hatch Green Chile before it was a brand. Old El Paso was the original and largest processor of green chile. All from the Hatch valley.
