Could you layer something on top of a jute rug like in the picture?? 🤔 My other thought is like a neutral braided rug so you get the vibes of jute (also get the cat / baby thinking).

Jute rugs are so pretty but I highly recommend not getting one 😅We recently splurged on a jute rug and 3 months later, got rid of it. It shed so much, started to unravel, and like you said— they aren’t practical for babies and children. I would only recommend one for a sunroom.

Annie Selke has a line of performance indoor/outdoor rugs that are soft and durable, good for kids and pets! I’ve used this one before indoors and it’s a nice blend to resemble a jute blend 😊

I recently went with a jute like “washable” rug and I really like it! Affordable, great visual texture and warmth, and it doesn’t shed!

you rang? 😌 LOL but in all seriousness, my advice is to look into getting a custom remnant rug created from a local carpet/flooring company. it’s a great way to get a large rug for less $$$ and they have surprisingly interesting options!!!

I have a jute rug from Revival Rugs and it’s a very soft jute and it’s cozy enough for my babies to crawl all over it! You should look at their jute options!
