I usually fly Southwest and sometimes I can’t hear the announcements, because I am almost completely deaf, so what I do is I let the person at the gate know that I can’t hear so can you let me know if there’s any changes and let me know when it’s time to board? They have been really good with keeping me informed.

The exact same thing happened to me flying back from the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport. No announcements, no text updates. The gate got changed to a completely different terminal. There was no way to make it to the plane in time. This was with Allegiant.

They have the ability to send you push notifications as well through the app. They should have sent the updated gate through. I hope you guys get home fast!

That’s infuriating im so sorry that happened. This has happened to me before. Now aside from checking the app I go to the gate, make sure the city is listed and if it’s not I’ll ask an agent and I’ll check the flight board. They are not gonna go out of their way SADLY - ya just gotta be proactive. Have a safe flight 🙏🏼

you should’ve flown out of dulles airport/IAD. it’s better than ronald raegan airport as dulles has consistent on time performance, and they have great customer service.

Girl this happened to me five times even one of the staff said that they didn't make an announcement!

if its available I try to get text updates if available cause sometimes announcements are not clear enough especially when 2 announcements go off at the same time it can be confusing.

Yeah we are SW and flew American last year and was warned about this. Happened to us in Charlotte, but they were changing wings on us, but I kept checking. Now my 19 old nephew who never listens to me, I warned him and he checked him app and was in shock they did it. This is a thing for that company
