I thought this was auto-evaporation….. so is it or is it one of those you have to drain which is awful

I bought one 14000 and it will not lower the temp in a 12x18 room. It blows cold air but the air discharge is so great it pulls a negative pressure on the room and it pulls all the cold air out. The room was 80 degrees and I ran the unit all night and it didn’t lower the temp even 1 degree.
