People saying you should be able to read a certain amount of books in a certain period of time PMO…. I read because I ENJOY IT. Not to find out what happens as quick as possible. Reading a good book is intimate for me. If I think a page is written beautifully I’ll read it twice. Sometimes more. Some days I complete a chapter and it’s so impactful or meaningful I’ll put the book down for a few days just to sit with what I just read and ponder it. I am in NO rush to finish a book. Does that mean I CANT read fast? No…. In school I finished textbooks and things I needed to read in order to gather information quickly, with no issue. I was able to retain etc. but that’s not the way I go about a fantasy book or a novel written to transport me into someone’s life or experience. Anyways I hate the holier than thou side of Booktok. They can get over themselves 😂
