@adivunsolicited: What if there was a sustainable responsible way to use AI? i am an AI averse person for all the reasons you might be thinking , the impact on the environment, on the newer generations ability to think, and for fear it may outpace us one day. Unfortunately AI isnt going anywhere anytime soon and we can’t allow black people to be left out of the conversation and contributions to something providing information for the masses. AI already has a racial bias problem in medicine, hiring, the judicial system. So when a tool built by Black people, for Black communities launches, I think we need to be paying attention. And allowing ourselves to open up the conversation around what sustainable and equitable use of AI looks like for the future. Yes! AI should be for research, difficult computations and collation, or recommendations to further consider. Not for thought creation. And all factual data should be built in, not opinions.

Generative AI could go away. By not being adopted, it could be easily phased out like so many other types of tech. I’m surprised you think it can’t go away. Hmph.

I know I can just search this myself, but what books or stuff did you read to educate yourself about empowering African and black people

AI governance positions are out there but they don’t seem to be hiring qualified people. Seems to be a farce. Also, is this AI? This is the 4th one I’ve seen 😩😂
