my theory is that carol is lying about rudy. she knows about the ending of the prophecy and wants to avoid it like everyone does. but to avoid it, she decides to postpone it. “love will find its way to the girl” comes first, so if noelle and susie dont fall in love with each other, the prophecy’s end won’t happen (just yet). that’s why she doesn’t want noelle near susie.

What if in chapter 6, after Susie tells Noelle about the dark worlds, Noelle decides to open the fountain to save her father, but instead a copy of him appears, similar to in chapter 4, when Susie decided to open the fountain to see Gerson

All of this confuses me with the context of that he looks to be fine during the weirdroute, which to my knowledge takes place after or at the same time he fell down.
