Our mission led us to Six🐾🫶🏼 We were driving the dusty backroads of Baja doing what we always do… looking for the dogs nobody else was looking for. The dogs surviving one day at a time. That’s when we saw him💔 Looking back, I truly believe we were meant to find him that day. Because out of all the street dogs, we happened to find the one who needed us most. The moment we saw him, we wanted to scoop him up, hold him in our arms, comfort him, and let him know he’d never be alone again🥹 But that would’ve put every dog already in our care at risk. So we made him a promise “Meet back at the Six.” We promised we’d come back for him, and every day he was waiting for us, tail wagging, sooo happy to see us. It really felt like he understood why it had to happen this way, and he was okay with it. He had people who loved him. He’d waited his whole life for a family and if waiting a few more days meant he’d finally have one, it was worth it. Then, on day 6, out front of the SIX, we welcomed him into our pack!💕 Our journey with Six was beautiful. He rested, he healed, he explored, and he learned how to just be a dog! He was a loyal companion, and we were so lucky to have him. But I’m sure you know what happens next… we found him his forever home, and Six flew all the way to his new family! If it weren’t for all of his beautiful, unique features, his Batman ears that hold a piece of his past, his piercing golden eyes with the little black diamonds around them, and his big, toothless, goofy smile, you might think he’s a completely different dog! Because when he’s splashing in the waves, he looks like any other dog. A dog who’s been loved his whole life🌊 But if you take the time to listen to his story, you’ll learn that he waited a long time for this kind of life, this kind of love, and this kind of forever home🥹
