The mag release on the vulcan-m/malyuk actually makes perfect sense here. Since it’s one of the few ak derivatives to have a button release and said button is located right behind the trigger.

why does the magazine go flying in the windshield and onto the dash you should make it so magazines stack on the dash and can't be removed

Just fix your problem by just making it cannon that the player has minor abilities to magically release the mag

it's be cool if for ak style mag releases you use the steering wheel to catch the release pulling backwards to then "load" the mag off screen
