no bc for me it started at a young age when girls my age were like a scrap of my size and showing themselves off in bikinis and when my mum would tell me i couldn’t wear one it felt like she was almost confirming my insecurities bc in my head it felt like she was saying “girls like you don’t GET to wear bikinis” and ik she meant it in the best way to protect me but honestly it made me feel like such a fat pig and that i was hiding behind increased fabric because fatties weren’t meant to wear bikinis… and even if i would look a mess in one it would feel better to be brave and prove my non existent internal haters wrong by proving i could do it and that i was worthy of it.

I swam today for the forst time after 2 years w a shirt on and my brother kept saying ur to f4t and u need a tshirt to swim i dont even want people knowing ur my sister bro i cant do nun about it i dont like my stretchmarks and love handles and i dont find it comfortable to swim w a bikini its like swiming with a bra i cant do anything about it bro please smw help my whole family is just talking bad abt me why i never swim and says it to strangers to im so uncomfortable with my family

Or the alternative of skipping the beach and laying in ur back yard while ur family is at the beach or finding a spot that’s all alone where the rocks are but it’s actually very peaceful and I love it
