My main complaint is the choice to return to the voice actors OG one piece. It would be much better if we got new voices on these characters. Especially if they plan on doing this long-term. I don't want to be a pessimist, however, the voice actors aren't getting any younger

Pretty sure they had an official statement which said they were planning to remake all the 4:3 episodes and stop at the 16:9 HD era, which would be the start of Long Ring Long Land

WIT dropped Vinland Saga because they were only contracted to make one season, due to executives not thinking it would make much money. WIT dropped AoT because they were demanded to produce episodes insanely fast with very little pay. When it comes to recent major anime productions (like Steel Ball Run and OPLA), Netflix seems like they’re fully aware of One Piece being an infinite money machine. I think as long as Netflix gives the studio enough time to cook, The One Piece will keep going until it’s reached the ending

The One Piece remake will continue as long as it keeps making money (which is a guarantee), even if Wit Studios dropout Netflix will get another Studio, and hell Toei themselves might even pick it up once the OG anime ends (since they also own the rights to the remake). So no matter what the remake will keep going because it’s a money printer, especially when the OG anime ends and so they can continue to make money off merchandise for another 10 - 20 years.

If they stopped at Jaya, we get the cliffhanger of Blackbeards introduction AND the added anticipation of riding the knock-up stream for an arc too many people already skipped.
