The acting and costume design for Supergirl are top notch, and really shine throughout the whole movie. The story and a notable chunk of the CGI is where it’s really lacking

Unfortunately we may have to embargo James Gunn and Matt Reeves as the only two people allowed to make live action DC stuff. Christopher Nolan can be added if he wants to make like a Plastic Man movie

I love Lobo. I love Jason Mamoa’s look as Lobo. But he did nothing to the story. He just kinda there. You take him out and it doesn’t change the story at all.

Supergirl was so frustrating because I could glimpses of a good movie, admittedly I don’t know much about the director but at times it felt like his vision and trying to mimic James Gunn style felt like they were clashing.

Completely agree about the coloring of this film. It’s like they took the Superman movie and dimmed it while pumping up the sepia tones. Very disappointing. Same with the needle drops.

I really liked Supergirl, because for me it felt like a starting point. This wasn’t suppose to be a big life-changing story for Kara, but more just a push in the right direction for who she is going to be.
