I think Marcus’ quote on loss is a bit dismissive. “Loss is JUST change.” Sure, but that doesn’t make it any less scary, painful, or difficult to accept and continue on. Sometimes the loss is minimal and easily accepted. You dropped your ice-cream cone. Sometimes it’s devastating and traumatic. You lost your partner, friend, or family member. You’ll be able to adapt to both, but to say the loss of something or someone dear is just change, that it’ll be for the better and help you grow, doesn’t mean it also isn’t scary and natural to want to avoid. Or even good for that matter
