Cockroaches spread diseases contaminate your foods dirtier things and overall it doesn’t contribute to anything I used to have a house contaminated atrocious when I was little and it was not fun on the other hand butterflies are pollinators like bees and helps with the environment

You're right and wrong at the same time. Yes, you're a hero for killing cockroaches because they are household pests, carry infections, and nothing to contribute in the environment. So they are seen as "villains". On the other hand, butterflies. Butterflies are handy in pollination. So if you kill one, you're seen as a "villain" since they contribute something good in the environment. Halo effect can apply if you compare something similar like moths or butterflies, which belong in the same family.

cockroaches isnt the answer for this, if you want to show the definition of the halo effect, use a moth and a butterfly. they both help the ecosystem yet people hate the moth by the way it looks
