Using basting spray to hold in place, (or you can use pins) center your batting between denim and fabric layers of your squares 2. Sandwich your batting for the stripes 3. Sew an “X” on each square, connecting diagonal corners. 4. Mark 3.5” from the center (needle) line on your machine. This will be your guide to sew center seams on each stripe. 5. Sew center seams on each stripe. 6. Sew a seam 2” on both sides of your center seam. TIPS: •when spraying basting spray, only spray the fabric and denim, don’t spray directly on the batting because it absorbs it •use a piece of tape or laser to elongate your center line (where the needle is) on your sewing machine. This way when you are sewing from corner to corner on the squares you just drag the bottom corner along the center line. •IF YOU HAVE A WALKING FOOT USE IT. if you don’t, I would HIGHLY suggest getting one. •backstitch at the beginning and end of each seam.
