yes it is a metaphor and yes it does hold a part in the book but its not that significant and indy is the perfect liz so ppl need to shut up abt it and stop making her feel unwanted

they are just grasping at straws atp😭 there are so many other ways to show Lizzie’s experience with trauma…

geuninely would be liking saying since lizzie got taller its a repersentation of her growing up fast like omfg thats not what symbolism is guys and if chole walsh did "intend" for that to be symbolic shed be a pretty amateur writer for it 😭

Hugh saying, “this girl’s hair was white. Like snow white,” and later describing her “dark blond hair” shows a clear contrast that feels intentional. The change in her hair reflects the changes Lizzie goes through from the person she was before to someone shaped by everything she has experienced. Because the book made such a strong point of her pure white hair, the shift to darker blonde feels like a symbol of her transformation. So yes in my opinion it does matter, though i adore the actor and i think she will do a great job!

I love Indy soo much but this is not the point they’re trying to make… it’s supposed to be symbolic

ikkk but for the fandom it’s really symbolical because it’s like a representation of how lizzie’s world got darker within

its called symbolism. Natural things coincide with symbolism all the time.

Jokes aside ofc ppl can interpret it as symbolic (me included) but what were not gonna do is act like it’s the biggest plot point of liz’s character like pls

lizzie is so much more than just her hair and eye color reducing such a complex character to just her appearance completely overlooks what makes her so compelling, like her hair isn’t the only thing that defines her

people forget that this “symbolism” that everyone is stressing is so important to her character was a fanmade headcanon

The fandom is being really chaotic I don't like it 💔. Stop fighting and accept it, they aren't going to change the actors just because you don't like they
