I was berated on a zoom call for an hour by a supervisor. When I put everything back to them I writing what they said me and provided them with the definition of deconstructive criticism, I was fired 4 days later 😂

My manager just tells me things I need to correct and I handle it. He wrote me up one time for some BS that he misunderstood (and could have been clarified by a 2 minute talk), so I chewed him out for 10 minutes and walked out. I was promoted the next week. Even great managers make mistakes, but they listen when you call them out on it.

I wrote my managers a paragraph once about how they are all bad at constructive criticism and gave them the actual definition for it with direct examples and quotes of how they didn’t do it correctly to me and put it all in a groupchat so they could see what they all did to me.
