This is about the way you started describing yourself. There’s a difference between taking responsibility for your struggles and turning them into your identity. Saying, “I made mistakes” leaves room for growth. Saying, “I’m just a loser” convinces you there’s no point in trying. Those are two completely different mindsets. If you’re not the same person she first met, that doesn’t automatically mean you’ve become the person you’ll always be. People go through seasons where life, trauma, depression, anxiety, or poor decisions change them. The important question isn’t whether you’ve changed; it’s whether you’re willing to rebuild. Don’t let a specific chapter become the title of your entire story. You recognizing something needs to change tells me there’s still a part of you that hasn’t given up. That’s the part I’d invest in.
