I’ve heard from so many biracial/mixed-race people who have experienced racism within their own families. Many have shared that they grew up feeling like they didn’t fully belong anywhere—not fully accepted by one side, the other, or sometimes either. It’s heartbreaking that home, where people should feel the safest, can also be a place where they feel rejected.

As a white mama to 4 biracial adult (black dad) kids and 10 mixed grandbabies…. I’m so sorry that happened to you 😭😭 that hurts my heart bc even when my kids dad was absent mostly, I made it a point to have them over to the black grandmas & grandpas house.
