Tesla has already confirmed that supercharging every day does not affect your battery. What is recommended is that you pay attention to the road and keep your eyes on it. And who’s even manually drive their Tesla? It’s 2026 people use FSD.

So if you charged to 80% and leave your car parked for an extended period of time for whatever reason, how long would it take for the battery to die completely?

Available Tesla-specific real-world data does not show materially higher battery degradation from frequent Supercharging compared with low Supercharging use, especially when the vehicle’s battery management system controls charging rate and temperature.

I bought a Tesla Model 3, and just a month and a half after purchasing it, the battery failed completely. When I contacted the dealership, they refused to help or take any responsibility for the issue. The battery appears to have been damaged before I purchased the car, yet I was never informed that its health was below 69%. If I had known the battery was in such poor condition, I would never have bought the vehicle. Now I’m left with a loan of more than $16,000 for a car that doesn’t even work. To make matters worse, I was informed that replacing the battery would cost nearly $14,000. Despite all of this, the dealership has made no effort to resolve the situation or assist me. Be very careful when buying a vehicle from this dealership. Based on my experience, they sold me a car with a severely degraded battery without disclosing its condition, and they have refused to stand behind the sale. This has left me with a vehicle I can’t use, an expensive loan, and an enormous repair bill.

Supercharger is too expensive anyways. Generally way worse than Prius mileage if you are paying .50 per kwh or more

Actually, the biggest issue has been found to be leaving your car at a high state of charge for extended periods of time. Schedule your at home charging to complete charging when you normally leave. If you’re leaving the car for a couple days, leave it at 50% instead of 80%. It’s also been shown that supercharging and AC charging have pretty similar degradation curves.

I super charge everyday , non LFP battery , charging it to 95% most times and draining the battery to -6% 😅 currently at 70k miles on my 2021 model 3 , let’s see how long this last lol

I don’t think the consistent supercharging is an issue, I feel like the biggest thing is not constantly letting it die / get to 0 to preserve your battery.
