@jakeclaverqfop: The IMF named XRP before Ripple did. 2014. The International Monetary Fund publishes a paper using the acronym XRP for 'exchange rate peg.' That same year, Ripple rebrands its token, which had been called Ripple's and before that X and S under OpenCoin, to XRP. It's been XRP ever since. Coincidence? Or was this always the plan?
